A relaxed, informal way to explore what we make here at 57° SKYE Distillery. Available throughout the day, this short guided tasting invites you to choose any three small samples from our range of gins, gin liqueurs, and whisky.

Our team will help shape your selection, whether you’d like a broad introduction or to focus in on a particular style.

Lasting around 10–15 minutes, it’s designed to be easy, flexible, and a natural starting point before exploring the full range in the shop.

57° SKYE Gin Experience

An in-depth look at how we shape flavour at 57° SKYE Distillery. This structured tasting takes you through a curated selection of our dry gins and gin liqueurs.

Beginning with our gins, the session focuses on balance, texture, and botanical character inspired by Skye and the wider Highlands, before moving into our liqueurs, where flavour is developed further through infusion and sweetness.

A light mixed serve is included, demonstrating how these spirits are designed to be enjoyed in a longer, more relaxed format.

Lasting around 45 minutes, this experience follows a clear progression from distillation through to finished serve.

57° SKYE Whisky Experience

A focused tasting exploring how peat, strength, and time shape whisky. This structured session takes you through our whiskies, comparing peated and unpeated styles at both 46% and cask strength. Tasted side by side, these reveal how flavour, texture, and intensity evolve with both style and strength.

The experience then moves beyond modern whisky, concluding with our interpretation of usquebaugh, a revival of a historic Highland spirit, introducing a richer, spiced profile and a clear departure from the whiskies that come before it.

Lasting around 45 minutes, this is a more in-depth tasting that links contemporary single malt with earlier Highland distilling traditions.

57° SKYE Signature Spirits Experience

Our most complete tasting, offering a full introduction to the way we make and think about spirit at 57° SKYE Distillery. This structured session moves from botanical distillation through to matured whisky, beginning with our gins before progressing into a selection of whiskies. Along the way, you’ll follow how flavour develops across different processes, styles, and strengths, while hearing the story of how the distillery was founded and how it has evolved here on Skye.

The experience includes time in the distillery itself, where you’ll be guided through our stills and production setup, connecting what you taste in the glass to how it is made.

A light mixed serve is included, demonstrating how these spirits are designed to be enjoyed, before the experience concludes with our interpretation of usquebaugh, connecting modern production with earlier Highland distilling traditions.

Held once daily, this extended tasting lasts around 45-60 minutes and offers a clear view of both our spirits and the ideas behind them.
